Mark Turner is CEO of the OC Group - a sports marketing company that offers complete sponsorship solutions in adventure sports campaigns and events.
Mark has competed in The Whitbread Round the World Race, Mini-Transat and numerous Grand Prix events over the past 20 years.
Mark has created Offshore Challenges Group in partnership with Ellen MacArthur creating and managing benchmark sailing campaigns for Ellen MacArthur under the Kingfisher Challenges banner that has included MacArthur's participationin the 2000/2001 solo Vendée Globe race on the monohull Kingfisher, finishing in 2nd place; winning the 2002 Route du Rhum race; the 2003 Jules Verne non-stop round the world record attempt on board the giant maxi-catamaran Kingfisher2 skippered by MacArthur, the attempt ended when the mast failed; management of the solo non-stop round the world record on board the trimaran B&Q Castorama that saw Ellen establish a new fastest time of 71d 14h and 18 minutes in February 2005. Over the last few years the OC Group has expanded to include other athletes, events and services as outlined below.

The Artemis Transat - the word's oldest solo transatlantic race; the
Barcelona World Race - a new two-handed non-stop race around the world,
first staged over the winter 2007/08; and the iShares Cup Extreme 40
Sailing Series a European based series of regattas in 40ft catamarans
sailed by the top guys in the sport and staged close to shore to entertain
spectators.
