Welcome to The World Yacht Racing Forum

It is my pleasure to introduce the 2011 World Yacht Racing Forum and Yacht Racing Design & Technology Symposium, both to be held in Estoril for the second year running from 13-14 December.

Since we launched the Forum in 2008, the event has become the annual meeting place for the 'business' of sailing and yacht racing; to share ideas, network with industry peers and forge new business relationships.

The 2010 World Yacht Racing Forum and Design Symposium saw the same quality of visitors and delegates as ever, and Estoril was extremely well received as a new venue for the conferences. Internationally recognised speakers, panellists and experts debated key topics from the world of yacht racing, as well as presenting many new initiatives and ideas. Over 35 exhibitors from more than 20 countries benefited from the exclusive networking and exhibition lounge, allowing them to showcase their brands and meet with existing and potential clients.

This year, we will be developing the Forum and Symposium further with new features and a new event format including separate streams and workshop sessions to allow delegates to choose from relevant topics.

The Yacht Racing Design & Technology Symposium will once again run alongside the Forum including shared sessions with the Forum where all delegates can participate. Sponsored by North Sails last year, the successful 2nd Design & Technology Symposium attracted industry leaders and experts to discuss and challenge the latest innovations in yacht racing design and techonology.
